RUNYENJES: Deputy Speaker claims MP ignored resident’s cry over poor road

In a
Facebook post, Simba who is the Runyenjes Central ward rep claimed the MP had
all the time to fix the road since the residents had raised concern about it
when the weather was still favourable.
“Since March
6, it's one month down the line since the promise was given that the tender was
awarded. The excuse of rain can't hold water, within this month we had some
days when the weather was favourable to murram roads (sic),”wrote Simba.
Previously,
Candle News reported that the said MP
has called residents to be calm as the road will be fixed when rains subsidise.

Residents
have since barricaded the road in question by digging ditches and vandalising
water pipes along it, paralysing transport.
The road has been impassable since the rains
started with motorists having a hard time navigating through it after getting stuck
in mud.
